Biography:
As a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Board-Certified Clinical Orthopedic Specialist, I bring a unique blend of clinical expertise and mountain experience to help riders train smarter. My coaching philosophy is built on one core principle: small, consistent movements create the foundation for bigger gains down the road. My background includes coaching youth freestyle teams for performance and injury prevention, along with designing individualized snowboard prep programs for riders of all levels. With 5 years of snowboarding and skiing experience myself — primarily as a park rider, though comfortable anywhere on the mountain — I bridge the gap between physical therapy and sports performance, combining clinical assessment with performance training so you build strength in a way that protects your body long-term.
Snowboarding and skiing place unique demands on the body — rotational power, edge control, impact absorption, and split-second balance corrections — and without proper preparation, these demands can lead to season-ending injuries like ACL tears, wrist fractures, and shoulder injuries. A dedicated training program builds the strength and stability to control landings and absorb terrain, improves mobility to reduce overuse injuries, and increases power and endurance so fatigue doesn’t compromise your form late in the day or season. Whether you’re a weekend warrior or chasing bigger tricks in the park, training your body with the same intention you bring to your riding is what separates a good season from a great one.
