Pre-Season Ski Conditioning: 6 week Hybrid In-person and Online Training Series

Wednesdays at 6:30 PM

Union Physical Therapy, Seattle & ATP

Series Starts: Wednesday October 14th at 6:30 PM

Led by Kevin Doherty-Regalia, PT

Build Dynamic Power, Reduce Knee Injuries, and Prepare for Winter with Dryland Training.

Preparing the human body for the physical demands of winter sports requires more than generic fitness routines. The Alpine Training Project in Seattle delivers an evidence-based, 6-week pre-season ski conditioning series engineered to build strength, endurance, enhance dynamic stability, and reduce the risk of common alpine injuries.

Led by orthopedic physical therapist Kevin Doherty-Regalia, PT, this hybrid training program combines weekly, high-energy group circuit style HIIT workouts at Union Physical Therapy with video-led workouts that you complete at home or in your gym on your own time.

This program builds week over week preparing you to tackle your goals for this winter season. The workouts are scalable to your current fitness level and aspirations for your time in the mountains.

Your registration for the hybrid program includes 6 months of access to ATPs online training content that carries you through the season with in-season training and tune up workouts. Whether charging deep resort powder, carving steep groomed terrain, or setting skin tracks in the backcountry, this program provides the physiological base needed to ski harder, recover faster, and stay out longer.

Instructor Clinical Profile

Clinician Name & Professional Credentials: Kevin Doherty-Regalia, PT

Clinical Biography:

With the better part of three decades of ski experience and a year working as a physical therapist at Union PT, I am thrilled to bring my passion and clinical expertise to the Alpine Training Project. My skiing journey began on the icy, demanding slopes of the East Coast, instilling in me a foundational resilience for unforgiving hard packed terrain. Today, my skiing spans the entire spectrum of the sport—from competing in free ride competitions to navigating the complex, untracked terrain of the Pacific Northwest backcountry.

For the past five years, I have served as a volunteer ski patroller at Crystal Mountain, where I manage real-time risk, handle complex mountain rescues, and analyze how physical fatigue impacts skier mechanics. Coupling this with my clinical knowledge as a licensed physical therapist for the Alpine Training Project allows me to merge this practical, first-hand safety expertise with evidence-based conditioning. I understand exactly what it takes to build a body capable of enduring explosive freeride lines, adverse and ever evolving backcountry conditions, and grueling ascents, and I am excited to help you build a comprehensive physical foundation for the upcoming season!
