Pre-Season Ski Conditioning: 6 week Hybrid In-person and Online Training Series

Union Physical Therapy | Seattle (Greenlake) & ATP

Series Starts: Monday 10/19 6:30PM

Led by Betsy Landrum PT

Build Dynamic Power, Reduce Knee Injuries, and Prepare for Winter with Dryland Training.

Preparing the human body for the physical demands of winter sports requires more than generic fitness routines. The Alpine Training Project in Seattle/Greenlake delivers an evidence-based, 6-week pre-season ski conditioning series engineered to build strength, endurance, enhance dynamic stability, and reduce the risk of common alpine injuries.

Led by physical therapist Betsy Landrum PT, this hybrid training program combines weekly, high-energy, in-person, group circuit style HIIT workouts at Seattle/Greenlake with video-led workouts that you complete at home or in your gym on your own time. This program builds week over week preparing you to tackle your goals for this winter season. The workouts are scalable to your current fitness level and aspirations for your time in the mountains.

Your registration for the hybrid program includes 6 months of access to ATPs online training content that carries you through the season with in-season training and tune up workouts. Whether charging deep resort powder, carving steep groomed terrain, or setting skin tracks in the backcountry, this program provides the physiological base needed to ski harder, recover faster, and stay out longer.

Betsy Landrum PT

Betsy has been practicing physical therapy for almost 30 years with her career beginning in the PNW in outpatient orthopedics, where she is currently in private practice in N. Seattle. She is dedicated to learning and growing as a provider to better serve anyone that she has the honor to work with. Her lens is to see each person from a 360 degree viewpoint in order to help them reach their vision and potential.

She loves to ski with any type of boards on her feet. Her heart is in tele-skiing, and nordic skiing, but she has been known to lock her heels down on occasion. Her smile is just as big on the uphill as it is on the down.

Betsy has a passion for endurance activities that keep her moving all day through outdoor landscapes. When she is not on her skis you’ll find her trail running or on her bike.

She is inspired to support people in building strength and stamina on a system of integrity, doing the things they love.
