Series Starts: October 29th

Led by Mari Cahalan, PT

Build Dynamic Power, Reduce Knee Injuries, and Prepare for Winter with Dryland Training.

Preparing the human body for the physical demands of winter sports requires more than generic fitness routines. The Alpine Training Project in Missoula delivers an evidence-based, 6-week pre-season ski conditioning series engineered to build strength, endurance, enhance dynamic stability, and reduce the risk of common alpine injuries.

Led by physical therapist Mari Cahalan, PT, this hybrid training program combines weekly, high-energy, in-person, group circuit style HIIT workouts at Alpine Physical Therapy with video-led workouts that you complete at home or in your gym on your own time. This program builds week over week preparing you to tackle your goals for this winter season. The workouts are scalable to your current fitness level and aspirations for your time in the mountains.

Your registration for the hybrid program includes 6 months of access to ATPs online training content that carries you through the season with in-season training and tune up workouts. Whether charging deep resort powder, carving steep groomed terrain, or setting skin tracks in the backcountry, this program provides the physiological base needed to ski harder, recover faster, and stay out longer.

Biography:

With three years of experience as a physical therapist in outpatient orthopedic clinics, I have developed a strong foundation in orthopedic and pelvic health rehabilitation. I enjoy working with people of all abilities and experience levels, helping them move beyond pain, build strength, and get back to doing what they love. My approach combines skilled, evidence-based physical therapy with the principles of sports performance to help people not only recover, but move and feel their best.

I believe movement is a powerful form of medicine, and I strive to create a supportive, positive environment where getting better is both effective and enjoyable. As an avid downhill, backcountry, and Nordic skier, I understand the physical demands and joy that come with time spent in the mountains. I love combining my clinical expertise with my passion for movement and the outdoors to help others build confidence, return to the activities they love, and keep doing them for years to come.
